Baptism, Wedding, Funeral

Many people are approaching us for Baptism (or Christening) of their children, for Weddings, or for Funerals. This is often because of a long-standing connection with St Marys Wexham, or because they have seen the church and its simple, dignified beauty.

There is some information below, which we will be periodically revising, but if interested please contact the Rector to inquire about Baptisms/Christenings, Weddings, and Funerals.

Baptism and associated services are a real blessing and a wonderful way of giving your child a good start and grounding in the Christian faith. Not sure you can commit to baptism? There are some other services.

Weddings - the law around registration of marriages has changed since May 2021, so you will need to speak with the Rector if you want to know if you may marry in St Marys Wexham. This form gives an idea of the some of the information we will be asking for - but no need to fill it out before meeting the Rector.

Funerals - please contact us if someone close to you has died. Even if only to talk through the bewildering maze of things to be done in the aftermath of the death of someone you love. If you are arranging a funeral, most of the funerals we have taken have been in the chapels at the crematorium grounds. A number of funerals have taken place in the church where there is less of a time pressure.
